Establishing Shot
The opening image that tells viewers where they are — for listings, usually the wide exterior or an aerial approach. It sets scale, context, and mood before any interior makes sense.
Film grammar 101: establish, then explore. Reels can invert it (start inside, reveal the exterior) precisely because the rule is so ingrained.
Why it matters for your listings
Buyers orient in the first shot. A confident establishing frame — or a deliberate inversion of it — is the difference between a tour and a slideshow.
